Policies – Sam’s Driving School

Lesson Fees

• $85 + GST per hour.

Requirements for Each Lesson

• Students must present a valid BC Learner’s (L) or Novice (N) license or a valid foreign driver’s license before the first session.
• The license must be carried at all times during training.
• Failure to provide a valid license before a lesson will result in its cancellation without a refund.

Payment Terms

• Payments should be completed before the start of each lesson or, in some cases, no later than the end of the session.

Refund Policy

• No refunds will be issued for lessons that have already been conducted.
• If a package is canceled, any unused lessons will be refunded. Used lessons will be charged at the regular hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
• A $35 processing fee applies to all refunds.

Cancellations & No-Shows

• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made within this period will result in a $40 fee.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson will be charged the full lesson amount.
• Students who fail to show up for their scheduled lesson will be responsible for the full cost of the session.

Package Expiry

• All lesson packages must be used within 180 days of purchase. Any unused lessons after this period will expire and cannot be refunded.

Lesson Structure

• Each 60-minute lesson consists of 45 minutes of driving and 15 minutes for discussion and feedback.

Road Test Bookings

• Sam’s Driving School can assist in booking an ICBC road test, but only for students who are currently enrolled in our training program.
• As per ICBC regulations, students must provide written consent allowing Sam’s Driving School to book their test and share necessary information with ICBC.
• If a student cancels their lesson package, any road test appointment booked by the school will also be canceled.
• For canceling a road test appointment booked by Sam’s Driving School, a minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to inform ICBC. Late cancellations may result in fees charged by ICBC.

Important Notice

• Sam’s Driving School reserves the right to terminate lessons without a refund if a student displays aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward instructors or staff.
• Any student suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to take lessons, and no refund will be issued.
• Lesson packages and pricing are subject to change without prior notice.
